Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with the Wyze Pan V3 camera. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m happy to say I figured it out! 
So, I recently upgraded my security setup with the Wyze Pan V3. The camera itself is fantastic—great video quality, smooth pan and tilt, and the night vision is top-notch. But here’s the catch: I noticed that the SD card icon in the Wyze app was disabled, and I couldn’t access any recordings or photos stored on it. This was frustrating because I rely on local storage for my security footage.
I tried everything—replacing the SD card with different capacities, restarting the camera, reinserting the card multiple times. Nothing worked. I even reached out to Wyze support, but the response was pretty generic. I was starting to think I might have to return the camera or invest in a new one.
But then, I stumbled upon a Reddit thread where someone mentioned resetting the camera to factory settings. I decided to give it a shot. Here’s what I did:
- Power Off the Camera: I unplugged the camera from the power source.
- Hold the Reset Button: With the camera still unplugged, I held down the reset button for about 10 seconds until I heard a beep.
- Reconnect and Set Up: I plugged it back in and went through the setup process again using the Wyze app.
Miraculously, the SD card icon was no longer disabled, and I could access all my recordings! It was such a relief. I guess sometimes a fresh start is all the camera needs.
This experience taught me two things: first, never underestimate the power of a factory reset, and second, the Wyze community is incredibly helpful.
