Wyze Plug Schedule Reliability in Offline Mode

I’ve been using Wyze plugs for a while now and they’ve been a great addition to my smart home setup. One thing I’ve been curious about is how reliable their scheduling feature is when the internet goes down. I know that most smart devices rely on an internet connection to function properly, but I’ve heard some users mention that Wyze plugs might have some local scheduling capabilities.

For example, if I set a plug to turn off at 4 PM and back on at 5 PM, what happens if the internet goes down at 4:50 PM? Does the plug rely on the server to send the command, or does it have a built-in timer or RTC (Real-Time Clock) to execute the schedule locally? This would be super handy for critical devices that need to be on a strict schedule, like pet feeders or automatic lights.

I’d love to hear from others who have tested this feature. Have you experienced any issues with schedules not running during offline periods? What kind of setup did you use, and did you find any workarounds or best practices? Sharing your experiences would be really helpful for the community!

Let’s keep the conversation positive and focused on finding solutions. Looking forward to hearing from you all!
