Wyze Smart Lock: A Reliability Challenge

I recently purchased the Wyze Smart Lock, excited to integrate it into my smart home setup. However, after a recent power outage, I encountered significant issues with the Wyze Gateway, which is essential for the lock’s functionality. Despite spending hours troubleshooting and following online guides, I was unable to reconnect the gateway to my network. The only temporary solution was using my iPhone’s hotspot, but switching back to my router proved futile.

After reaching out to Wyze support, I was informed that my device is out of warranty, leaving me without a resolution. This experience has been quite frustrating, as it highlights the need for more reliable products. While I’m still impressed with other Wyze devices, this incident has made me reconsider future purchases from the brand. I’m now on the lookout for a more dependable alternative for my smart lock needs.
