I’ve been really impressed with my Wyze Sprinkler Controller and how it integrates with my smart home setup. However, I’ve noticed something interesting that I’d like to understand better. The controller seems to automatically skip watering schedules when it detects rain or wind, even though I haven’t activated the Sprinkler Plus subscription.
This happened recently when I set up my first watering schedule. The system surprised me by skipping it due to rain, and then later it stopped a running schedule for cycle-soak. I was also caught off guard when wind skips occurred without any wind sensor being connected.
I’d really appreciate any insights or tips on why this is happening and if others have experienced the same behavior. It’s fascinating to see the controller making these adjustments on its own, and I’m curious to learn more about how it decides when to skip watering.
