I recently purchased the Wyze Thermostat, hoping it would seamlessly integrate into my smart home setup. However, I’ve encountered an issue that’s quite frustrating. The thermostat seems to cool beyond the set point and continues running until I manually restart it. For example, if I set it to 74°F during sleep mode, it often drops to 72°F and keeps running, even hours after I’ve gone to bed. This behavior is not only inconvenient but also potentially wasteful in terms of energy consumption.
I’ve noticed that the thermostat’s reading is sometimes one degree higher than what’s shown in the app, which adds to the confusion. When I restart the device, the reading adjusts, but the underlying issue remains. I’ve tried adjusting the temperature preferences and ensuring there are no sensors interfering, but nothing seems to resolve the problem.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their Wyze Thermostat? I’m curious to know if this is a known problem and if there are any workarounds or solutions that others have found effective. I’m also wondering if there’s a way to adjust the thermostat’s settings to prevent it from cooling beyond the set point. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
On a positive note, I do appreciate the Wyze app’s user-friendly interface and the ability to monitor and control the thermostat remotely. It’s just this persistent cooling issue that’s dampening my overall experience. I’m hopeful that with some troubleshooting and community input, I can find a resolution and make the most of this smart device.
