Wyze Thermostat Monitoring and Camera Customization Tips

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze Thermostat and Wyze Camera, as well as some tips I’ve picked up along the way. I’ve been using the Wyze Thermostat for a while now, and it’s been a great addition to my smart home setup. However, I’ve noticed that after running for a while, it stops monitoring the furnace properly, even if the room temperature drops below the set threshold. I’ve found that restarting the thermostat within the app helps it start monitoring again. Does anyone else experience this issue, or have any tips on how to resolve it permanently?

Switching gears, I’ve also been experimenting with customizing my Wyze Camera. I decided to paint it black to eliminate reflections since it’s mounted near a window. I took apart both Version 1 and Version 2 cameras to spray paint them. While Version 1 had a glossy white case, Version 2 came with a matte finish, which was a nice improvement. I’d love to see Wyze offer a black option or a removable black faceplate in the future. It would be a great addition for those of us looking for a more discreet setup. :art:

On a lighter note, I’ve found that integrating smart devices into my daily routine has been a game-changer. For instance, setting up routines that trigger specific actions, like turning on lights when I press the pause button on my Harmony Elite, has made my life a bit more convenient. If anyone has tips on creating more complex routines or troubleshooting issues, I’d love to hear them! :bulb:

Overall, I’m really happy with how my smart home setup is coming together, and I’m excited to see what new features and products Wyze and other brands will release in the future. Happy tinkering, everyone! :rocket:
