Hey everyone, I wanted to share some insights about my experience with the Wyze Thermostat. Recently, I noticed that my thermostat was acting up—constantly turning on and off, and even showing as offline in the app. It was pretty frustrating, especially since it had been working perfectly for months.
I did a quick check and ruled out internet issues by rebooting the router. For a few hours, everything seemed fine, but the problem came back with a vengeance. I started researching and found that others had similar issues, especially after the August 21 update.
After some trial and error, here’s what I found helpful:
- Firmware Updates: Ensure your thermostat is on the latest firmware. Sometimes, rolling back to a previous version can stabilize things if the latest update is causing issues.
- Reboot Regularly: While not a permanent fix, rebooting the thermostat every few weeks seems to keep it running smoothly.
- Check for Interference: I moved the thermostat slightly to rule out any nearby devices causing wireless interference.
- Temperature Monitoring: I noticed the thermostat was acting up during extreme temperature changes, so I adjusted the settings to be more gradual.
