Wyze Thermostat Temperature Settings and Garage Furnace Setup

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze Thermostat and how it’s been working out for me in my garage furnace setup. I’ve been using the Wyze Thermostat for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with its flexibility and ease of use. However, I did have a question about temperature settings that I thought might be helpful for others who are considering this device.

So, the main question I had was about the minimum and maximum temperature settings. I was wondering if it’s possible to set the thermostat as low as 5°C at night and around 10-15°C when I’m working in the garage. I’ve heard that some thermostats have limitations on how low or high they can go, so I wanted to make sure the Wyze Thermostat would work for my needs.

After doing a bit of research and reaching out to the community, I found out that the Wyze Thermostat does allow for pretty low temperature settings, which is great for my garage setup. I’ve been using it to maintain a comfortable temperature while I’m working, and it’s been holding up really well. The interface is user-friendly, and the app notifications keep me informed about any changes or issues.

One thing I did notice is that the thermostat works best when it’s placed in a spot where it can get a good sense of the room’s temperature. In my garage, I initially put it a bit too close to the furnace, and it was fluctuating a bit more than I liked. Once I moved it to a more central location, the temperature regulation became much smoother.

Another thing I wanted to mention is the integration with my smart home system. I’ve been able to set up some basic automations, like lowering the temperature at night and adjusting it when I start working in the morning. It’s been a great way to save energy and keep the space comfortable without constant manual adjustments.

If anyone else is thinking about using the Wyze Thermostat for a similar setup, I’d recommend testing out different placement options and experimenting with the temperature settings to find what works best for your space. The app has some really handy features for monitoring and adjusting settings on the go, which has been a big plus for me.

Overall, I’m really happy with how the Wyze Thermostat has performed in my garage. It’s definitely a cost-effective solution for controlling temperature in a space that doesn’t need to be as strictly regulated as the main living areas. If you’re on the fence about giving it a try, I’d say it’s worth considering for its versatility and ease of use.

Happy tinkering everyone! :control_knobs:
