Hi everyone! I recently decided to integrate my Xiaomi Aqara wall switches into my SmartThings ecosystem, and I wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone else out there. Spoiler alert: It worked out beautifully, but there was a bit of a learning curve along the way!

This led me to research the “catchall method” that others had mentioned. It turns out that this method involves setting up a custom device handler that acts as a universal translator for devices not natively supported by SmartThings. After some digging and tweaking, I figured it out! The key was ensuring that the device handler was correctly configured and that all settings were properly aligned.
Once everything was set up, the integration was seamless. I could control my lights effortlessly through the app, and the switch became a fully functional part of my smart home setup. It’s amazing how a little troubleshooting and community support can turn a potential frustration into a smooth success story!
