I wanted to share my latest project with the community—a custom color change widget for the Xiaomi V2 Gateway. This widget allows users to easily change the gateway’s light color through a sleek interface. When you click the widget, it randomly changes the color, and there’s also a hue slider for precise adjustments. The background of the widget reflects the current color setting, making it both functional and visually appealing.
Here’s how it works: The widget uses an OpenHAB rule to convert the selected color into the appropriate format for the gateway. The interface includes a color picker for manual adjustments and a shuffle icon for random color generation. I’ve also added a link to trigger the rule directly from the widget.
