Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring some interesting features and troubleshooting tips with my Xiaomi Gateway and Govee lights. Let me share my experiences and some insights I’ve gathered from the community!
First, I recently set up my Xiaomi Gateway and tried creating a script to make the device flash as an alert. Unfortunately, the flash attribute didn’t work with the basic LED light on the gateway. To overcome this, I created a script that turns the light on and off with a delay between each cycle. I initially used a shared YAML file with a milliseconds value, but I ran into issues when trying to template the delay service. It seems that the delay format only supports hh:mm:ss and not hh:mm:ss.sss. I’m still looking for a way to include milliseconds in the delay format. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
On a more positive note, I came across some exciting news about Govee lights, especially their new Pixel Displays. I was thrilled to discover that playlist sharing is now possible! This means I no longer have to create the same playlists on multiple devices manually. You can now share playlists, modify them by adding or removing scenes, and even adjust the display time for each scene. This feature is a game-changer for anyone looking to streamline their lighting setup and create personalized ambiance without the hassle of duplication.
If you haven’t tried this yet, I highly recommend checking it out. It’s a fantastic way to enhance your smart home experience and save time in the process. Let me know if you’ve explored this feature or have any tips to share!
Overall, it’s amazing to see how the community contributes to making these devices even more versatile. Whether it’s troubleshooting a specific feature or discovering new capabilities, there’s always something new to learn and share. Keep the ideas coming, and let’s continue to make our smart homes even smarter!
