Hey everyone! I wanted to share a few things I’ve been working on lately. First, I recently set up a Yale Z-Wave lock keypad with my Aeotec hub using the SmartThings app. It was a bit of a puzzle at first because it kept showing up as a dimmer light instead of a lock. After some research and a few resets, I finally got it working properly. If anyone else is having this issue, I’d be happy to help troubleshoot!
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with my Tado thermostats. I have two heating zones and a DHW system, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to manage them without constantly tweaking the 3-way controller. It’s a bit of a challenge, but I think I’m getting the hang of it. If anyone has tips or tricks, I’d love to hear them!
Lastly, I’ve been diving into Home Assistant and trying to create custom button cards for my calendar events. I managed to pull in events from multiple Google calendars and display them with dates and times. The next step is to color-code them based on which calendar they come from. It’s been a fun project, and I’d love to share my setup once it’s polished.
