Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with my Yale Real Living Z-Wave lock and Z-Wave configuration. I’ve been trying to reset my Yale lock to include it in my new Vera Edge Z-Wave network, but it’s been a bit of a challenge. The lock kept flashing numbers when I tried the exclusion process, and I couldn’t get it to present the inclusion option. After some research and trial and error, I found a solution! I used the Vera Edge’s built-in Z-Wave tools to perform a soft reset on the lock, which finally allowed me to include it in the network. It’s such a relief to have it working again without having to replace the expensive module.
On a different note, I’ve also been working on fine-tuning my Z-Wave network settings. I came across an issue where my Z-Wave devices were throwing errors related to security keys. After some digging, I realized that the configuration file for Z-Wave was outdated. I manually updated the security keys in the /etc/zwave_config.json file, and now everything is running smoothly. If anyone else is having similar issues, I’d recommend checking your Z-Wave configuration files and ensuring all security keys are properly formatted.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has encountered similar challenges or has tips for maintaining a healthy Z-Wave network. Happy tinkering! ![]()
