Yeelight Light Strip Experience and Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with the Yeelight Light Strip, specifically the YLDD01YL and YLDD02YL models. I recently purchased a YLDD01YL from Gearbest, and it worked perfectly out of the box with Home Assistant. I didn’t have to configure anything beyond enabling LAN control from the Yeelight app. However, when I bought another strip from Amazon, thinking it was the same model, I was surprised to find it was a newer model, the YLDD02YL. While the new strip turns on and off without any issues, I’ve encountered problems with brightness and color control. To adjust the brightness, I have to turn it off and then back on at the desired level. I tried ignoring Yeelight in the discovery process and manually configuring each strip with a static IP and music mode enabled, but the issue persists. From what I’ve read in other threads, the version 2 (from Amazon) should work fine, while the version 1 (from Gearbest) might have issues. I’m still hoping to find a solution, so if anyone has any ideas or tips, I’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks for your help and insights. :blush:
