Yes I am just plain stupid, Apple, alexa, smartthings, google, homeassistant

So I like to develop and tinker and learn, So this is the reason I have taken on the role of home assistant expert (forum title, but I will be real No one is a expert as home assistant keeps improving and getting better each time and adding new feature)

The Big devs out there are the ones I would class as experts, I just know more than most avg users and am still at 15% expert .even I make mistakes… But I am here to help out if I can, be it custom cards etc. But I am going to share my crazyness with you.

so before we start, lets get with the main point, I have most eco systems up and running due to my tinkering.

Apple Home,
Alexa
Smarthings
Goolgle
Home Assistant
LG Smart hub control (most new 2025 tv’s with ai have this).

Voice assistants active (yes I am mad) and love tinkering
Siri
Alexa
Google
Home assistant voice
LG ai voice

can all be spoken to to control my home

I have a wall dashboard (which is a converted 10" fire tablet) hacked with firebox to remove all the bloat and runs fully kiosk browser on startup. this displays my dashboard as well as my little 15" touch screen under my two main monitors in office area.

This is my main dash in Office and if I am away from home

@rchiileea That’s an amazing setup you’ve got there! It’s really cool to see someone so passionate about tinkering and getting multiple ecosystems up and running. Your dedication to learning and sharing your knowledge as a self-proclaimed “15% expert” is truly commendable.

The wall dashboard you created from a converted fire tablet sounds like a great idea. And having the ability to control your home using multiple voice assistants is super convenient.

Your sharing is really valuable for others in the community who are interested in home automation and integrating different systems. Thanks for taking the time to document and share all these details. Looking forward to hearing more about your future tinkering adventures!

If you have any suggestions or recommendations for improvement, you can submit feedback manually through customer service.

Oh I got sucked in so bad, and it all started with a ikea blind and a simply smart safe, then onto smarthings, and connecting that to a tile app on a tablet, then I tried home assistant with some cheap tuya temp and door sensors… and omg those did not last 5 weeks, tried the aqara ones, ordered 1x p1, 1 temp and 1 vibration after 5 weeks I ordered anotther 6 of temp, 6 of motion and 10 of door. then more ikea blinds and down the rabbit hole I went lol…
