Hey everyone, I’m new to the openHAB ecosystem and I’m trying to get my Z-Wave setup working smoothly. I’ve encountered some issues with my Z-Stick, particularly an Error 0x79 that keeps popping up in the console. It’s frustrating because the stick goes offline randomly, making it impossible to keep the system running 24/7. I’ve done a clean install of OH3, but the problem persists. Does anyone have experience with this error or know of a fix? I’ve tried the latest snapshots, but no luck yet. The stick’s LED freezes occasionally, which adds to the confusion. I’m really hoping to resolve this without having to buy a new stick, as I’ve had good experiences with OH2.5M1 before. Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
For those who might be encountering similar issues, here are a few troubleshooting steps I’ve found helpful:
- Check Device Permissions: Ensure your Z-Stick has the correct permissions on your system.
- Update Firmware: Make sure your Z-Stick firmware is up to date.
- Reset the Controller: Sometimes resetting the Z-Wave controller can resolve connection issues.
- Log Analysis: Review the logs for more detailed error messages that might point to the root cause.
- Test with Minimal Configuration: Try disabling other devices or rules to isolate the problem.
If anyone has successfully resolved this issue, please share your solution! It would be a huge help for newcomers like me. ![]()
