I’ve been experiencing some challenges with my Z-Wave devices after a recent firmware update. It’s been a bit frustrating, but I’m determined to figure this out. Here’s what’s been happening and what I’ve tried so far.
After updating my Z-Wave firmware to version 1.87, all my devices suddenly became unavailable. This included my Zooz door sensors, water leak detectors, and motion sensors. I’ve reset the Z-Wave module, tried a hard reset using JS UI, and even did a factory reset on all my sensors. Despite all these efforts, I’m still unable to get the devices back online or add new ones during inclusion mode.
I decided to try a fresh installation by setting up a new Home Assistant instance with a USB Z-Wave stick. Unfortunately, the issue persisted even after installing the latest firmware. I’ve also tried using the full DSK code, but the devices still aren’t detected during inclusion mode.
I’m reaching out to the community for guidance. Has anyone else encountered similar issues after a Z-Wave firmware update? Are there any specific troubleshooting steps or configurations I might have missed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with my Govee lights and the CSL2 firmware update. It’s been a fun challenge to map out the lights again, and I’m excited to see how everything comes together. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love tinkering with smart home tech!
Looking forward to hearing from you all and hopefully finding a solution to my Z-Wave woes. Thanks in advance for your help!
