Z-Wave Device Migration and Automation Tips

Hello everyone, I’m sharing my experience with migrating Z-Wave devices and some tips for automations that might help others facing similar challenges. :hammer_and_wrench:

Recently, I moved my Z-Wave setup from an Unraid server to an Odroid C4 to address connection issues downstairs. I have 18 Z-Wave devices, and the process of transferring them was a bit tricky. I considered swapping the Aotec Z-Wave sticks between the two systems, but I’m not sure if that’s the best approach. Has anyone successfully moved devices this way? I’d love to hear your experiences! :speech_balloon:

On another note, I’ve been exploring how to make my smart home more efficient. For instance, setting up automations that adjust to internet outages. Imagine this: if your lights don’t turn on because of a lost connection, wouldn’t it be great if they automatically activated once the connection is restored? I’m curious if others have found a workaround for this. :arrows_counterclockwise:

I also stumbled upon some interesting discussions about using weather stations for real-time automation, like adjusting awnings based on wind speed. It’s a cool idea, but I wonder how reliable it is. Has anyone tried integrating a weather station with their smart home setup? :sun_behind_rain_cloud:

Lastly, I’d like to highlight a positive experience with Govee products. Their warm light settings are amazing, and their community support is top-notch. If you’re looking for affordable yet quality smart lighting, I’d highly recommend checking them out! :bulb:

Let me know your thoughts or if you’ve tackled similar challenges! Happy automating! :rocket:
