Z-Wave Node Addition Issues: Seeking Solutions

Hi everyone,

I’ve been diving into the world of Z-Wave devices to expand my home automation setup, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey so far. However, I’ve hit a snag that’s been puzzling me for a while now, and I’m hoping the community can shed some light on it.

I’ve been trying to add several Z-Wave devices to my setup, specifically Fibaro Smoke Sensors, Philio 3-1 sensors, and Aeotec door sensors. The issue I’m encountering is an “unknown error has occurred” during the inclusion process for battery-powered devices. Interestingly, non-battery-powered devices seem to work just fine. I’ve tried troubleshooting this in every way I can think of—restarting the Homey, attempting inclusion from different apps, and even checking the Z-Wave logs, which appear to show normal activity. Despite all this, the problem persists.

I’ve also noticed that the error occurs consistently across multiple devices, which makes me think it might be a configuration or compatibility issue rather than a problem with the devices themselves. I’m starting to wonder if there’s something I’m missing in the setup process or if there’s a specific firmware version that’s causing this behavior.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or perhaps has some insight into what might be causing it? Any suggestions on further troubleshooting steps or potential fixes would be greatly appreciated. I’m eager to get these devices integrated so I can fully leverage the capabilities of my home automation system.

Thanks in advance for your help and insights!

Best regards,
