Z-Wave Radio Sleep Issue and Workaround

I’ve been using Hubitat for several years now, and I recently upgraded two locations (my home and lake house) from the C7 to C8 hub about three months ago. I’ve noticed a recurring issue where the Z-Wave radio goes to sleep approximately once a week. When this happens, none of my Z-Wave devices respond, whether they’re line-powered or battery-operated. Interestingly, the Zigbee devices continue to work fine, which makes me think the issue is isolated to the Z-Wave radio itself. This problem occurs at both locations, so it’s not specific to one hub.

The symptoms are pretty consistent: all Z-Wave devices become inaccessible. Rebooting the hub doesn’t resolve the issue, and I’ve had to resort to unplugging the C8 for about 30 seconds to get it back online. Once the hub recovers, everything works perfectly again. While this workaround is effective, it’s certainly not ideal, especially for a system that’s supposed to be reliable and always on.

I’m reaching out to the community to see if anyone else has encountered this issue or has any insights into why it might be happening. I’m particularly curious if there’s a firmware update or a configuration change that could address this behavior. If not, I’d love to hear if others have found a more seamless workaround than manually unplugging the hub each time.

It’s also worth noting that I’ve reached out to Hubitat support, but I’m hoping the community might have some additional troubleshooting steps or insights that I can try before escalating further. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance!
