Hey everyone, I’m currently working on a project to control my pool using Z-Wave wall switches, and I’ve run into an interesting challenge. The setup works about 80% of the time, which is great, but there are moments when the OFF command for the night doesn’t go through. I suspect this is due to the switch not receiving the signal properly. The enclosure is made of stainless steel with ventilation louvers, which might be blocking the Z-Wave signal.
I was wondering if there’s a way to bring the Z-Wave signal into the enclosure, similar to how cell phone boosters work in cars. I’ve heard of external antennas for Z-Wave, but I’m not sure how effective they would be in this setup. Has anyone had success with something like this?
I’ve also noticed a slight delay when using SharpTools, around less than 3 seconds, which is manageable but something I’d like to improve. Any tips or experiences you can share would be amazing! Thanks for your help!
