Z-Wave Wall Switches and Vera Edge: A Setup Challenge

I’ve been diving into the world of Z-Wave devices lately, and it’s been an exciting journey! However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag while trying to integrate my GE/Jasco wall switches into my Vera Edge system. Let me walk you through my experience so far and see if anyone out there has some tips or tricks to help me out.

So, here’s the setup: I’ve successfully migrated most of my devices from VeraLite to Vera Edge, but the wall switches are proving to be a bit stubborn. I’ve managed to disassociate them from the old network and am now attempting to include them in the new one. The issue arises when I try to put the Vera Edge into include mode—it simply doesn’t detect the wall switches, even when they’re right beside it. I’ve tried using the “Generic Z-Wave Device” option, as I did with my Aeon Labs minimote, but no luck so far.

I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing here. Is there a specific method or setting that I should be using for these wall switches? I’ve also noticed that the Vera Edge doesn’t list my specific wall switches in its device library, which might be part of the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

On a positive note, I’ve been really impressed with how smooth the transition has been for most of my devices. The Vera Edge setup has been a breeze compared to the VeraLite, and I’m excited to see how much more I can do with it once these wall switches are up and running. Fingers crossed for some helpful insights from the community!
