Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my recent experience after migrating my Home Assistant instance to an SSD. While I thought I had everything set up correctly, I ended up running two Home Assistant instances simultaneously—on both the SSD and the SD card—without even realizing it for weeks! That was quite the oversight, but I’m glad I caught it before any major issues arose.
However, since the migration, I’ve been facing some trouble with the ZHA integration. The Silicon Labs add-on is running smoothly, and Matter/Thread is functioning as expected, but ZHA simply won’t budge. I’ve encountered an error during the initialization process, specifically when trying to connect to the application controller. The logs point to a timeout during the reset process, which is pretty frustrating.
I’ve reviewed the logs extensively and tried a few troubleshooting steps, like reinstalling the add-on and ensuring all dependencies are up to date. But nothing seems to resolve the issue. I’m now considering whether I need to completely reconfigure the ZHA integration or if there’s a way to salvage the existing setup without losing all my devices.
Has anyone else encountered this problem after migrating to an SSD? I’d love to hear if there are any known solutions or workarounds. For now, I’m keeping Matter/Thread as a backup, but I’d really like to get ZHA back up and running smoothly. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
The ZHA enthusiast
