I was just wondering, will the new FP300 show up properly in Zigbee2MQTT or Home Assistant ZHA once discovered/added?
Hello @aqara_8qgjt
I think by the time the device is launched it will be supported, or enthusiasts will quickly write a converter for HA. In Matter mode it can still be added to HA.
I believe it will require a Aqara Hub to be exposed to home assistant via Matter integration
Okay thanks for the info!
If it’s not already supported in Zigbee2MQTT by the time I get one I’ll start getting the integration rolling on its Github.
Hello, FP300 is a Matter device, officially support for joining Home Assitant via Matter.
That is awesome.
I have my fp300 already running in zigbee2mqtt, but I can submit anything to zigbee2mqtt until official release.
Ho did you pair it? With my zigbee 2 mqtt / ZHA simply does not discover it as an device.
ddo you have a zigbee dongle, I know its obvious but thought i would check, if you do you have to reset the zigbee pairing (permit join in zigbee 2 mqtt) then hold the button down on the device until it flashes
have double checked everything ( quite experienced with zha and zigbe2mqqt, have overall 130+ devices working in both addons) I also installed the converter from “GitHub - absent42/fp300” but the device is still not appearing to pair ![]()
you sure its not in matter mode? have you tried to add it to aqara first to set it as zigbee mode?
