I’ve recently encountered some puzzling issues with my Zigbee setup, and I’m hoping the community can shed some light. I’ve been using Zigbee devices alongside my Z-Wave setup for a while now, and while it’s been mostly smooth sailing, there have been a few hiccups lately that I can’t quite pin down.
The problem started when I rebooted my Raspberry Pi to apply some system updates. Post-reboot, my Zigbee devices seemed to lose connection entirely. The Paper UI lists them as online, but they’re not responding to commands or providing state updates. I’ve checked the logs, and there are recurring errors related to server and client binding issues. This is particularly frustrating since my Z-Wave devices on the same USB stick are functioning without a hitch.
I’ve tried the usual troubleshooting steps—rebooting everything, checking firmware versions, and even deleting the binding and devices to force a re-pair. Unfortunately, this hasn’t resolved the issue, and it feels like I’m stuck in a never-ending loop of reboots and resets.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems? I’d love to hear if there are any workarounds or fixes that don’t involve tearing everything down and starting from scratch every time. I’m also curious if others have had success maintaining multiple protocols (Zigbee and Z-Wave) on the same hub without conflicts.
If there’s a way to prevent this from happening in the future, I’d be more than grateful for any tips or best practices. I’m really hoping to avoid having to reinstall everything every time I need to reboot my system. Fingers crossed someone out there has encountered and conquered this beast!
Thanks in advance for any insights or advice!
