Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with integrating a new Zigbee 3.0 siren into my smart home setup using Home Assistant. I recently purchased the Tuya Zigbee Smart Siren Alarm with temperature and humidity sensors, hoping to expand my security and environmental monitoring capabilities. The device seemed promising, especially since it works with the Tuya Smart Hub and supports Zigbee, which I already have set up with my SonOff Zigbee bridge as the coordinator.
However, I’ve encountered a bit of a hiccup during the setup process. After successfully adding the siren to my network via ZHA, I noticed that no entities were being created for it. This means I can’t toggle the alarm or access the temperature and humidity sensors through Home Assistant. I’ve tried troubleshooting by removing and re-adding the device multiple times, but the issue persists. The logs from ZHA during the addition process didn’t reveal any obvious errors, but I can share them if anyone thinks they might help.
I’m really curious if others have experienced similar issues with Zigbee devices, especially from Tuya. I’d love to hear if there are any workarounds or if this might be a known bug in ZHA. Additionally, I’m wondering if there are any steps I can take to contribute to resolving this issue, whether through debugging or submitting a report to the ZHA team.
On a more positive note, I’ve been really impressed with how smooth most of my smart home integrations have been so far. It’s just frustrating when something like this pops up and throws a wrench in the works. I’m hopeful that with the community’s help, I can get this siren up and running properly!
Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions you might have. I’m more than happy to provide any additional details or logs that could assist in troubleshooting this issue.
