Hi everyone, I’ve recently installed two Zigbee 2-gang wall switches in my hallway and at the top of my stairs to control the stairwell and hallway lights. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m excited to share my experience and ask for some advice!
The goal is for the switches to work in tandem, so pressing a button on one switch updates the toggle status on the other. It’s similar to how traditional switches work in a series, but with Zigbee, it’s a bit different. I’ve managed to pair them, but I’m still figuring out the best way to ensure they stay in sync.
One thing I’d love to achieve is inverting the light status of the wall switch. Right now, the Moe’s ZS-EUB_1gang doesn’t have an inversion option, so I’m wondering if there’s a workaround. Ideally, I’d like the wall switch’s light to turn ON when the lights are OFF and OFF when the lights are ON. It might make it easier to tell at a glance whether the lights are on or off without looking directly at the lights themselves.
I’ve looked into some community solutions and scripts, but I’m not entirely sure how to implement them. If anyone has successfully done something similar or has any tips, I’d be really grateful! It would be awesome to get this working smoothly so that both switches feel fully integrated into my smart home setup.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and advice. Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
JP
