Hey everyone, I’ve been running a successful Zigbee2mqtt + Node-Red setup on HA OS for years now. It’s been a reliable combination for managing my smart home devices. Recently, I decided to add Z-Wave functionality by installing Z-Wave JS UI + MQTT, as I wanted to incorporate some Z-Wave devices into my setup. The installation seemed smooth, and everything was working fine initially. However, after a certain update, I encountered a critical issue where Zigbee2mqtt failed to start with the error: SRSP - SYS - ping after 6000ms.
I consulted the troubleshooting guide for Zigbee2mqtt and considered the possible causes. The only changes I made recently were the Z-Wave installation and an update. I attempted to restore my system to previous backups, but even after reverting to a state before the Z-Wave installation, the issue persisted. It was a nerve-wracking experience, as I could have potentially lost my configuration if I hadn’t had an older backup.
I’m now wondering if there’s a conflict between Zigbee2mqtt and Z-Wave JS UI when running them simultaneously. Did I miss any specific configuration steps during the Z-Wave installation? Has anyone else successfully integrated both Zigbee2mqtt and Z-Wave JS UI without issues? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
