Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Zooz ZSE40 sensor. I purchased this sensor a few months ago and integrated it into my Homey Pro network. Initially, it worked perfectly for about a month, sending motion and tamper signals as expected. However, after the first month, I noticed that the motion sensor was stuck on, while the tamper function still worked. I tried swapping the batteries, but that didn’t help. I then decided to reset the sensor using the pin on the bottom and re-add it to my network, which temporarily fixed the issue for a few days. Unfortunately, the problem resurfaced, and now the sensor won’t show any motion or tamper signals unless I reset it again.
I find it a bit frustrating that changing the battery doesn’t resolve the issue, and the Homey developer app indicates that the sensor still has a connection. It’s also worth noting that other non-ZSE40 sensors in my network are working fine. I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this problem or has any suggestions on how to permanently fix it. I’d really appreciate any advice or insights you might have!
