Hi. I’ve got a new FP300 that has suddenly failed working and I wonder if anyone has any ideas what might be going on.
On 26th January I installed 2x FP300 on my Zigbee network. They sounded ideal, so I wanted to try them out before committing to them across the house.
I’ve swapped them both to Zigbee and they’ve been working really well so far. There is still some stuff I need to learn, but overall they’ve been good so far.
Anyway, fast forward to yesterday, 4th February, just after midnight, and one of them became unavailable – no sensors, no LQI / RSSI. There’s no light showing either.
I tried clicking the button, holding the button and clicking the button 10 times, but none of those actions worked. I’ve removed the battery pack for a new minutes, but that didn’t work either. The unit seems completely dead. The only thing that is happening is that the FP300 now makes a very quiet whirring noise.
This is slightly disappointing (not least because I just ordered one for every room!) but I guess it’s a new product and might have some issues.
The other unit is working fine, btw.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on please? Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!
Many thanks
James
