I have 2 homes. I want to use Aqara M3 Hub with water sensors in both homes. How do I accomplish this task?

@rpettyjohn You can install an Aqara M3 Hub and water sensors in both of your homes. Then, create a “Home” within the Aqara Home App and place all these devices under the same “Home” in the App. This way, you can set up an automation rule such as: If a water leak is detected in the sensors of one home, both M3 Hubs in the two homes will trigger an alarm.

Thank You for the instructions. I have tried numerous times to connect the M3 Hub to the Aqara App. Instructions call for scanning a QR code on the boddy of the M3. There are 3 QR codes on the body of the M3. What are they for?

@rpettyjohn There are a total of 3 QR codes available:
- Aqara Magic Pair QR Code (marked with the text “Aqara”),
- Matter QR Code (marked with the text “Matter”), and
- HomeKit QR Code (features a small house logo icon).
- When pairing the device to the Aqara app or adding it to the Aqara ecosystem, use the Aqara Magic Pair QR Code.
- For adding the device to other Matter-compatible ecosystems, use the Matter QR Code.
- To add the device to HomeKit, use the HomeKit QR Code (identified by its house-shaped icon).
This ensures seamless pairing based on the target platform.
