2 of my 5 FP2 are offline and show no signs of life (SOLVED)

I have 2 FP2 Sensors that have just gone to offline status. I checked the power supply and they are plugged into appropriate power supplies and they are working correctly. I have tried a reset and nothing. both are appearing as just dead. I was wondering if anyone else is having similar issues. both were in service in my home mounted on the wall for approximately 6 months and working fine.

Ok so I needed to reply to my own post. I found the issue.

One of my FP2 sensors was indeed dead. I finally did get it to do something but that was just flash an alternating green/blue light at very fast speed. But nothing I could do to get it into any other mode. I’ll chalk that one up to just bad luck.

The other FP2 was in use in my dining room as I said. It has been working flawlessly (except for slow detection) for over 6 months. Here’s the bonehead part……there was nothing wrong with it. I notice that it just stopped detecting and there were no lights on and holding the setup button did nothing. I have it mounted to the wall using the included stand and the double sided tape that comes with the device, so getting it off the wall would have been difficult. Anyway, I am having my kitchen remodeled. And I tested the plug where it’s plugged in at. Yeah, the construction works killed the outlets in that room and never returned power. The recessed lights work and the one outlet I checked is still working, but I never checked that outlet. I tried an extension cord from a known outlet and it worked fine.

Sorry for the long post but I had to admit what I did and it’s not the FP2 as originally thought.

My fault!!! Check the darn outlet!!!
