2nd hand u100 lock reset

Hi,

I bought a used U100 on eBay and want to reset as my device.

However, it need administrator password or finger print which I don’t have.

How to reset it? If I cannnot get the password does it mean it’s not able to be used by me?

When it comes to resetting a used U100 Smart Door Lock, you do need either the admin password or the registered admin fingerprint—this is a security feature designed to prevent unauthorized access and protect previous owners’ data.

Unfortunately, if you don’t have the admin credentials, there’s no way to reset the lock yourself for safety reasons, and the lock cannot be remotely reset by Aqara or via the app. This means, unless you can get the admin password or fingerprint from the previous owner, you won’t be able to perform a factory reset or set it up as your own device.

If you’re unable to get those credentials, I’d recommend contacting the seller to see if they can provide them. Otherwise, you might want to reach out to Aqara’s Customer Service Team for further assistance. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to reset the administrator password yourself, you need to contact the owner on Ebay and ask him for the code. The administrator password is the basis of security protection and can only be reset by entering the current password. Write to the support service, maybe they can help reset it, but as far as I know this is impossible without the owner’s (administrator’s) password.
