4 new products launching in July! đź’Ąđź’Ąđź’Ąđź’Ą

Hi Community,
It’s a big July for us here at Aqara with 4 new launches in one day. Without further ado, let’s get into what’s available starting July 10th.

Doorbell Camera Hub G410
Stick this one right on your door, it’s a powerful camera-hub for both Aqara and third-party devices. This doorbell features 2K resolution with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens, advanced radar detection, and local facial recognition (great for automations) It supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and Thread. It also includes a 95-dB chime, DING! You can use wired or battery power, with optional local storage and end-to-end encryption. Easy to install, great integration potential.

Dimmer Switch H2 US
For all you Sparkies out there, we got a new dimmer switch with nice, analog yet silent buttons. Thread/Matter support for easy cross ecosystem connection or exclusive Aqara features, we don’t mind if you stray. Works with neutral or no neutral wiring, though with neutral grants you access to more Aqara features like power monitoring. It’s a very nice dimmer, packed with custom dimming controls to really make your space your own.

That’s great. I can’t find the “select” version on Amazon which seems to be the only one in white. Can you advise where and when that version can be ordered?

Hi, the “Select” version is exclusive to Aqara distributor channels. Please check the “Where to Buy” page on the Aqara website for more information.

Thanks. I checked every link on that website and it appears that it’s not sold by any of your distributors. Amazon appears to be the only one listing any of your newly announced products and this doesn’t include the select version of the G410. Also, one of the links on your site gives a 404 error.

Do you have any additional information about where to buy the select G410?

The W500 is so stupid. You could have implemented it in software using the W100 and a T2 relay. Furthermore this would enable it to control on/off central heating boilers, common in the UK.

Please can someone at Aqara understand and acknowledge the very simple suggestions I made in this thread: https://forum.aqara.com/t/aqara-w100-thermostat

For US region, the G410 select will be available on Bestbuy.com next week, stay tuned!

hi, these are different products with different purposes. The W500 is specifically designed for floor heating (either hydronic which is popular in Germany, and the electric ones which are popular in Nordics), and Relay T2 is not suitable for this purpose, as floor heating usually has a wired NTC sensor, and in many cases, requires much higher loads that the T2 cannot hold (it’s limited to 10A as you know). It’s not that suitable to adapt it for boilers, as boiler thermostats are usually not installed into the EU-type wall box, but yeah, we will do our best to deliver smth for boilers in the future.

The product manager on this forum shared information that a battery-powered camera is in development and will appear. Unfortunately, there are no exact dates.

Thank you for the information
Now crossing fingers and waiting

@Andrew_A

My point in the other thread was you could have made the W100 a boiler thermostat by simply exposing a simple automation trigger. I can’t understand why you don’t simply add the requested trigger.

I fully agree, we will try to implement this ASAP. But once it’s implemented, the requirement for a OpenTherm-compatible thermostat will be still there
