A good automation in one you forget you have

My favorite automations are those I forget I have. They make my life easier. Lights that turn on and off on their own, alarms that go off then the temps are too low or that remind me I left a window open when I leave home. My shades rolling down in their own when the temp in front of the window gets too high in the summer.

The point to to make my life easier while my smart home takes tasks off my brain and handles them independently :wink:

Hi there and welcome to the forum.yes that is the idea of having an smart home to set things up and forgot about but to work as intended and make our life easier.i have some like that and it is awesome to not need to relay on my phone to trigger them .
