Being in the UK, some international readers might not understand this first part. The heat in summer here is like nowhere else. all you have to do is go on TikTok and search UK heat & you will see many visitors to the UK explain in colourful detail how uncomfortable it can be.
With this in mind, I would love to see 2 devices.
The first device would be a cooling/heating mat for pets. the reason for both cooling AND heating is that it could be useful all year round. there could be 4 sizes on offer. Small, Medium, Large & XL. this would be enough to cater for cats, dogs and even other animals. in the summer, it would provide a nice place for beloved pets to regulate their body temperature and stop overheating, and in the winter months, it would provide a cozy warm spot for these cuddly creatures to snuggle in comfort.
The second device comes off the back of the pet mat.
Because the UK average property has no air conditioning, trying to stay cool in summer consists of either paying for a ridiculously expensive portable unit that often works about as well as a chocolate fire guard, or sticking your head under a cold tap. Adversely, in winter, keeping warm involves either blankets piled on top of you so you look like a burrito or watching your bank balance deplete rapidly due to the high cost of gas in the UK.
With this in mind, a device that could both heat & cool, that would sit on a chair or be able to be laid flat for use on a bed would probably sell faster than ice cream on a hot day at the seaside.
Smart homes are connecting more and more with pets these days. It’s not just about making life easier for humans, giving pets a smart living experience matters too. Some users have even shared their own pet-related automation setups. Thanks for your suggestion, it’s given us some great ideas for future Aqara products!
My daughter also had the idea for a small door opener and closer. She said it would help people like her grandad who are disabled and in wheelchairs. The device would be similar to an automatic door opener or closer in a shop that you see however it would be much more lightweight as it would control internal doors and houses. She said it would make life so much easier for people rather than having to lean out of their wheelchair to open and close doors within the house. She’s only 12 and already thinking of ways to help people in their daily lives. I’m so proud of her.

Uso l’ Hub M1s gen 2 devo dire che funziona magnificamente, si può azionare un timer schedulato a certi orari, e dosare pure la quantità della dose da distribuire.
Il contenitore contiene una quantità di cibo anche per una settimana, io ho campionato la mia voce che invita il mio gatto al pranzo.
Questo è possibile sia dall’ app Aqara e sia dal pulsante presente sul dispositivo fisico.

Sono d’accordo. La mangiatoia per animali domestici C1 è fantastica e anche il mio gatto la adora. Viene di corsa ogni volta che sente il cibo cadere nella sua ciotola.
non vi mettete a ridere, io la uso anche come cerca gatto da remoto appena do il comando vedo immediatamente dopo la presenza del gatto che mangia e mi rassicuro, mentre sono in casa e il gatto e’ nascosto da qualche parte mi basta premere sul pulsante fisico del distributore e pochi stati dopo come per magia compare il gatto a tutta velocita’.

una cosa che mi piacerebbe fare attraverso qualche dispositivo matter compatibile e’ quello di poter addestrare amazon alexa ad interfacciarsi con il distributore dei croccantini del tipo alexa dai da mangiare al gatto e parte la distribuziione del cibo.

the circle in the middle is a small pelter and it gets cold enough that it creates condensation on the plate. despite this it lasts for hours and hours on one charge.
This leads me to believe that the tech could be adapted to a cooling mat for pets and humans alike and power consumption is low, one single square plate in the corner with strips coming off of it covering the whole mat. this would then create a cool mat.
reversing the polarity of the supplied voltage will then make it a heat mat…
Molto interessante quanto hai scritto, pero’ bisognerebbe vedere delle immagini dal lato pratico e come fare tutto cio’ che hai descritto, solo cosi si puo’ realizzare questa bella idea ed interpretarla in campo.
