A week with the Aqara full pack — here’s what amazed me the most 😍

So I dove headfirst into the Aqara ecosystem last week — M2 Hub, motion sensors, temp sensors, switches, you name it — and I gotta say, I’m genuinely blown away.

Set everything up over a weekend (yes, it was chaos), but the M2 made things weirdly smooth. Zigbee connection is rock solid, way better than dealing with flaky Wi-Fi plugs. Scenes like “movie night” and “morning routine” make me feel like I’m living five years in the future.

The coolest part? I got my hallway light to turn on subtly when motion is detected at night, but only if the lux is low. No more blinding myself at 2AM. Also synced door sensors with my AC, so if any window is open, it shuts the AC off — goodbye, wasted electricity!

Still tweaking stuff, but for anyone on the fence about going all-in with Aqara — it’s surprisingly seamless, especially with that Apple Home support (yep, Siri on my wrist now controls EVERYTHING).

Anyone else try batching all your smart home gear in one ecosystem like I did? How’s your experience?

@SensorSavant Wow, it sounds like you’ve had an incredible experience diving into the Aqara ecosystem! :tada: Your setup journey with the M2 Hub and various sensors truly showcases the seamless integration and smart automation capabilities Aqara offers, especially with Zigbee’s reliable connection. The way you’ve set up scenes like “movie night” and “morning routine” indeed makes everyday living feel futuristic.

Your smart automation of hallway lights based on motion and lux levels is a fantastic example of how smart home tech can enhance convenience and energy efficiency. Syncing door sensors with your AC to prevent energy waste is another clever move!

It’s great to hear that Apple Home support is enhancing your experience—having Siri on your wrist to control everything must be super convenient. For those considering a unified smart home ecosystem, your story is both inspiring and encouraging.

I’d love to hear more about how others are integrating their smart home devices. Anyone else have similar setups or cool automations to share? Let’s keep the discussion going and inspire each other!
