I am using the Aqara G410 doorbell and I really enjoy the face recognition feature combined with custom audio messages. I set up automations to play a personalized voice message for each family member when they are detected at the door.
However, I have run into a limitation: the Aqara Home app only allows 10 custom sound files to be imported. In my case, I need 13 files (11 family members + unknown face + doorbell press), which exceeds this limit.
I tried copying MP3 files directly to the SD card, but the app does not seem to detect them outside of what was imported through the app itself.
My questions are:
- Is there a known workaround to go beyond the 10 custom sounds limit?
- Is it possible to place audio files in a specific folder on the SD card so that Aqara Home can detect them?
- Could Aqara consider increasing this limit in a future update? 10 files feels quite restrictive for households with several family members.
