Small question: is the FP300 capable of making a difference between people and pets (in my case: cats)?
I’m currently using regular PIR detection systems but that’s not ideal…
I’ve seem some topics touching the pet detection issue sideways but couldn’t find a firm answer like “yes” or “no”.

Short answer: no
Source: I do own multiple FP300 units and they all behave identical no matter which family member - including our dog - occupies the room. In my experience PIR/mmWave detection mostly depends on mounting height and angle of the sensor.
Also there are no human/pet specific sensor entities exposed.

No, but my dog doesn’t mind, she’s afraid of the dark.
I also don’t mind, I have the FP300 in the kitchen (it automates the lights) and I can see from the couch if my dog is sniffing the kitchen for some food she shouldn’t eat, so I know when to tell her to stop doing it
