The abrupt on/off transitions just didn’t feel right. I wanted that elegant, gradual dimming effect that makes entering a room feel like a cinematic experience.After some research, I discovered that integrating a smart switch with Zigbee connectivity could solve this issue. I decided to try the AUBESS Tuya Zigbee Smart DIY Switch. The setup was straightforward—just a matter of connecting it to my existing wiring and configuring it within the Home Assistant ecosystem.The results were nothing short of amazing! Now, when I turn on the lights using the smart switch, they fade in smoothly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The same applies when turning them off—no more harsh cutoffs. It’s like having a personal lighting director for my home!But I didn’t stop there. I wanted more control over the fade duration. I learned that Home Assistant allows customizing these settings through integrations and automations. By tweaking the transition time in the Hue settings, I can adjust how long the fade effect lasts, making it as gentle or as quick as I prefer.This experience has been a delightful adventure, blending technology with creativity to enhance my daily life.
