I got a M100 and want to connect it to my Google Home app so I can control my devices (T2 bulbs and P1 motion sensor) via Google Home. When I try to add the hub via Matter code my Google Home App tells me I need access to WiFi despite having the access. When I try to add Aqara Smart Home in Google Home app I get a 404 error.
I got a Google Home speaker and three Google Nest Mini Gen2 speakers. Do I need to buy a newer Google device with Thread support?
The Google Nest Mini (2nd Gen) does not have a Thread and cannot act as a Thread border router. Only certain devices like the Nest Hub (2nd gen), Nest Hub Max, and Nest Wifi Pro have a built-in Thread border router to connect to a Thread mesh network for Matter devices. Therefore, your Nest Mini will only connect to your home via Wi-Fi.
