AEOTEC Labs ZW095 Home Energy Meter Gen5 - 3 clamp Review and Integration Experience

I recently purchased the AEOTEC Labs ZW095 Home Energy Meter Gen5 with 3 clamps, and I wanted to share my experience with integrating it into my Homey setup. Initially, I was a bit hesitant because I had heard mixed reviews about the compatibility of certain devices with Homey. However, after some research and reaching out to the community, I found that many users have successfully integrated this energy meter into their systems.

The installation process was straightforward. I simply plugged in the device and followed the Homey setup guide. The energy meter automatically detected the clamps, and I was able to start monitoring my energy consumption almost immediately. I currently have two of these meters installed: one for measuring the total electricity usage and another for tracking the surplus from my solar panels.

One thing I noticed is that the energy data is displayed in real-time, which is incredibly useful for keeping track of my energy usage patterns. I’ve even set up some automations using the data from these meters to optimize my energy consumption. For example, during peak hours, I can adjust certain appliances to run on solar power only.

I also wanted to mention the user-friendly interface provided by Homey. The integration was seamless, and I didn’t encounter any issues with the device pairing or data synchronization. The ability to view detailed energy reports and graphs has been a huge plus for me, especially when it comes to analyzing my solar panel efficiency.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with the AEOTEC Labs ZW095 Home Energy Meter Gen5. It has significantly enhanced my home automation setup, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to monitor their energy usage more effectively. If you have any questions or need assistance with the integration, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help!
