After spending several weeks trying to troubleshoot the Aeotec Multisensor issue with my garage door, I thought I’d share my findings and experiences in case anyone else is dealing with the same problem.
The setup is pretty straightforward: I’ve got an Aeotec Multisensor attached to my garage door, and I’m using the latest Edge Driver with the Zigbee Contact Driver. However, the sensor hasn’t been updating from Open to Closed, regardless of the tilt direction. This has been quite frustrating, especially since the garage door is a critical part of my smart home setup.
I initially suspected this might be a bug with the Edge Driver, as everything else in my system seems to be working perfectly. I’ve reached out to the support team and the community, and while there haven’t been any official updates yet, I’ve managed to gather a few insights and potential workarounds.
One thing I’ve noticed is that the issue seems to be isolated to the Aeotec Multisensor, as other sensors in my system are functioning without any problems. This makes me think that it might be a compatibility issue specific to this sensor and the Edge Driver combination.
In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with different configurations and firmware updates to see if anything resolves the issue. I’ve also tried resetting the sensor and re-pairing it with the hub, but nothing has worked so far.
