Akara Home for Windows

Will there be an Akara Home for Windows, or does it already exist?
If so, I couldn’t find it.

I don’t think there is an official Aqara app for Windows.

A workaround via Apple Home/HomeKit would be conceivable, but there is no app for Windows here either.

An alternative would be an Android emulator such as BlueStacks, but that’s cumbersome. However, this is not officially supported by Aqara. And it will probably cause problems with synchronization across different devices. I would advise against it.

The Aqara Home app allows you to connect to ecosystems such as Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings.

Alexa would be an alternative, but as far as I know, the Windows app no longer exists.

There is no app for Windows for Google Home. However, control via a web browser would be possible:

There is an app for SmartThings for Windows 10 and 11.

I use Home Assistant (HA), but this requires a server. There is an app for Windows, and of course you can also control everything via the browser.

What exactly do you want to do with the Windows app?

Everything is the same as with a smartphone.

So if you want it to be exactly like the Aqara Home app, then the only option is the Aqara Home app for iOS or Android.

In theory, this would only work on Windows in a virtual machine or emulator.

I think the Aqara app needs to be able to access the local network and Bluetooth, right? I’m not sure if this will work at all.

In my opinion, it is not suitable for beginners, so you would have to try it at your own risk. Alternatively, you could wait for an official app, but I think that’s unlikely. The trend is moving in a different direction, as can be seen with Allex and co.

Otherwise, it would still be possible to access the smartpohne remotely from windows. Of course, that’s not the same thing.
