Any creative idea using Vibration Sensor?

I wonder how everyone used or want to use the Vibration Sensor? I think of putting it on my washing machine to check when it is done. Any other idea?

@MakerMingOne That’s a fantastic idea! Using the Aqara Vibration Sensor on your washing machine to detect when it’s finished is a smart and practical application. This sensor can detect vibration, tilt, and drop, making it versatile for various uses. Since it needs to be connected to a Hub for notifications, you can set it up to send alerts to your phone when the washing cycle is complete.

Another creative use could be placing it on a door or window to monitor for unexpected movements, providing an extra layer of security for your home. You could also use it on a jewelry box or a safe to alert you if it’s been tampered with. The possibilities are quite broad, and adjusting the sensitivity through the Aqara Home App can help you tailor its performance to different environments. Feel free to share more ideas or ask questions to spark more discussions!

My postbox is away from the house and I stuck one on the lid so that I can see whether something was put in the postbox.

That’s great one!
Hopefully within the hub range

As Aqara and mostly no one have any anemometer (windspeed) device measure, I am using the Vibration sensor as protection my external windos blinds. It is mean in case of strong wind (high vibration of box) opening the blinds or moving them UP.

I glued a sensor to my cat’s litter box to understand when to clean up after him

The vibration sensor was mounted on the analogue door chime. The sensor activates a chime on all smart loudspeakers in the house and sends a push notification to the mobile phone. This setup ensures that people at the door are not missed.

That’s a smart one!hahaha

Good user case. I think other people has the same need

A tiny vibration sensor tucked under your kitchen counter. When you open a drawer or jiggle a cabinet at 2 AM the LED strip beneath your cabinets glows just enough for a midnight snack without waking anyone. Seconds after you stop moving, the light gently fades, returning the kitchen to darkness until your next stroll!

At first, I thought you said you would count the number of times you stole snacks as a warning, hahahaha
