I got a G410 doorbell and U50 lock for my front door. Setup was nice and easy and seemed to work well initially. It’s been a few weeks and the HomeKit integration for the lock seems to be hit and miss. Apple home just says the lock is not connected most of the time. If I got into the Aqara app and then back to Apple home it seems to trigger a connection again. Any ideas?

Have you made sure your HomeKit is upgraded to the new architecture? I did that when Apple first released it and helped a lot with my stability. I also went into the Home app and set a primary bridge for HomeKit, so I would recommend checking that as well.

If you have wifi repeaters or device isolation enabled on the router, then it may break HomeKit integration.
It may seem that HomeKit works, then your Apple Home decides to switch current hub from one HomePod to another and then suddenly Apple Home cannot connect to the devices (that happened in my case).
I use a mesh wifi network instead of wifi repeaters to have a smoother (from networking perspective) wifi extension.
You can also try setting a static IP for your doorbell.
