Aqara Curtain Driver E1 Keeps Getting Stuck at Exactly the Same Point on the Rail

Hi everyone,

I have several Aqara Curtain Driver E1 motors connected to Home Assistant through Zigbee2MQTT.

One of them repeatedly gets stuck at a particular point on the curtain rail. The other motors work fine.

I’ve already tried:

  • Sanding the rail to remove any roughness.
  • Adjusting and tightening the curtain hooks to improve how the curtain moves.
  • Checking for obvious obstructions along the rail.

Unfortunately, the problem persists. The motor reaches the same section and struggles to move past it.

I’m wondering whether this is a problem with the curtain rail itself, the motor’s grip or traction, or the way the Curtain Driver E1 handles resistance.

Has anyone experienced this?

Would recalibrating the motor help, or is there another adjustment I should try?

I’d appreciate any suggestions before considering replacing the motor.
