Hi there,
I just connected another Aqara device to Hub 2 via the Zigbee protocol. I’m not sure why, but I cannot see this device in the Google Home app.
The others, like temperature sensors and bulbs, are there, but not the dimmer.
Does anyone know what the cause of it is?
Kind regards
@gipsonhc Hey! The Aqara Smart Plug cannot be connected to Google Home directly. It must first be paired with an Aqara Hub. After successfully connecting your device to Aqara Home, go to Profile - Connect to Ecosystems - Google Home, click on Link, and then authorize in the Google Home app .
The compatible Google devices are Aqara Door and Window sensor, Aqara Temperature and Humidity sensor, Aqara smart plug, Aqara Wall Switch. Maybe the Aqara Dimmer H2 doesn’t fall into the category of compatible devices shown in Google Home .
Let’s keep discussing this if you have any new findings!
I think I’ve tried everything, with no success.
I also tried to connect a T2 color bulb as well. I switched the bulb from Matter to Zigbee protocol and connected it to M2.
Now I don’t see the bulb in Google Home either.
What is the cause of this?
@gipsonhc It seems you’re having trouble getting your Aqara Dimmer H2 and T2 color bulb to show up in the Google Home app even after connecting them to the M2 hub via Zigbee.
For the Aqara Hub M2, you will not see the hub itself in Google, but you should see compatible child devices that you have paired with it. The compatible Google devices are Aqara Door and Window sensor, Aqara Temperature and Humidity sensor, Aqara smart plug, Aqara Wall Switch . Maybe the Aqara Dimmer H2 doesn’t fall into the category of compatible devices shown in Google Home.
As for the Aqara LED Bulb T2, to be compatible with Aqara Home in Zigbee mode, a compatible Aqara hub is required, and the Aqara hub’s firmware version needs to be the latest one. The Zigbee-compatible hubs include Aqara M2 / M1S GEN2 / M1S / HUB E1 / G3 /G2H Pro / MagicPad S1 Plus .
It’s possible that there could be an issue with the device not being fully recognized or a problem with the connection setup. You could double-check that the hub’s firmware and the app are both up to date. Also, make sure the connection process was done correctly according to the instructions.
Let’s keep the discussion going if you have any new findings or if you manage to figure something out!
Hey,
I’ve got the same problem with a Aqara H2 (EU) connected in ZigBee mode through a Camera G3.
I have also a Aqara M2 hub but it is too far.
What can I do.

It is so disappointing.
Both devices work great when connected by Matter protocol to Google Home, but they have limited functionality and keep disconnecting.
That’s why I went for M2 to get better performance.
It’s lame…
