Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2

Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2 Always losing connection with Apple Home and take me while to reset it

Has this been the case from the very beginning or just recently? What kind of hub do you have? ZigBee or Meter connection? What’s the hub firmware like?

Zigbee on P2?

This model is the Connection via Matter and whenever I have to connect it to HomeKit it doesn’t work or spends a long time trying to pair.

Matter is not a wireless connection protocol; it is only a communication protocol that sets standards for how devices communicate with each other. To use the Door and Window Sensor P2 with a particular ecosystem, a Matter-compatible Thread Border Router is required.

Did you connect it via Thread using a Home Pod or another Thread Border Router? And how far apart are the devices from each other? The range of the Thread signal in buildings is between 15 m and 50 m, depending on the individual conditions in the building.

Following on from other suggestions, do you own a thread enabled Aqara hub? The reason I ask is that if you do it may be better connecting the Thread enabled P2 sensors to Aqara’s hub.

If you do not have one then you could extend that thread reception with an Aqara M100 thread enabled hub, these are very cheap and you can either join and existing thread network or create a new one.

Have 2 units P2 connected to Apple home ecosystem ( Apple TV/homepod / mini). Worked fine couple months, but recently disconnected and not reconnecting. Tried : network reset, 10 clicks reset, battery out. Network was not charged recently
