Last night I encountered a very strange situation. My Smart Lock U200 just unlocked itself in the middle of the night. At that time, I thought maybe i’m dreaming, but after checking the log in the morning, I saw the door just got unlocked and locked at 05:32 in the morning by itself. I consider this is a very serious security breach, and I am curious if anyone else encountered this problem.
Hi @Andrei.C this is definitely a serious thing! I also mean that I could remember such an issue at the beginning through the beta test - but this issue was fixed through a firmware update. Can you tell me which firmware are you using?
Yes! That’s also latest for me - please contact @KinseyCreateGoods or the Aqara support
I have sent an email also to Aqara support, with photo attached, hope they will come with a solution. The problem is I work abroad, and I’m not at home for months sometimes, so I don’t feel safe for my family with this situation.
Have you connected the lock to other systems, such as Apple Home or Home Assistant, or only to the Aqara Home app?
Do you have any scenes or automations where “Open lock” is set as the action?
Yes, i have set it in automations, with aqara smart switch H2, where the lower button closes or open the door, but nobody was near the switch at that hour, everyone was sleeping.
My reasoning was that, for example, if Home Assistant restarts and Automations are created in an unsuitable way, that could very well happen.
I wasn’t aware of this issue with the Aqara Home app before, but perhaps you should check your automations again. May be, hub reboots or server outages could possibly be causing this. However, that’s just a guess, and I can see that your automations are running locally. In any case, I noticed some brief outages on the Aqara server last night.
No, i’m not using HA, or other systems, and my automations are made in Aqara app. I hope you are right and it’s just an isolated case, otherwise it will be a serious issue, at least for me.
Check your automation logs. See if the automation was triggered, its at the top that looks like an A4 letter next to the plus symbol
Can you take a screenshot of the „H2 unlock U200” automation? It looks like „Office Light 1“ triggered it.
I have attached a 2’nd photo with the log expanded. It looks like the Office switch unlocked the door, still strange for me since everyone in the house was sleeping that time.
You click on the little triangle, I showed it with an arrow. You will see the sequence of automation operation, which switch has been triggered.
By the way, what automation immediately closed the lock, what trigger worked?
It looks like the office switch triggered the unlock, and immediately the entrance switch triggered the lock
This is indeed a weird behavior and as said a very serious issue. Good thing is, it‘s not related to the U200 itself as it seems. Now we have to find out how/why the automation got triggered. Wanted to ask if the automations are running local or via cloud but one of the screenshots you shared shows „local“.
Do you know if there has been any firmware update which auto updated that night? You might want to check the logs of the switches itself
