Aqara door lock U200 security breach

Last night I encountered a very strange situation. My Smart Lock U200 just unlocked itself in the middle of the night. At that time, I thought maybe i’m dreaming, but after checking the log in the morning, I saw the door just got unlocked and locked at 05:32 in the morning by itself. I consider this is a very serious security breach, and I am curious if anyone else encountered this problem.

Hi @Andrei.C this is definitely a serious thing! I also mean that I could remember such an issue at the beginning through the beta test - but this issue was fixed through a firmware update. Can you tell me which firmware are you using?

It’s on the last firmware as far as I see.

Yes! That’s also latest for me - please contact @KinseyCreateGoods or the Aqara support

I have sent an email also to Aqara support, with photo attached, hope they will come with a solution. The problem is I work abroad, and I’m not at home for months sometimes, so I don’t feel safe for my family with this situation.

Have you connected the lock to other systems, such as Apple Home or Home Assistant, or only to the Aqara Home app?

Do you have any scenes or automations where “Open lock” is set as the action?

Yes, i have set it in automations, with aqara smart switch H2, where the lower button closes or open the door, but nobody was near the switch at that hour, everyone was sleeping.

My reasoning was that, for example, if Home Assistant restarts and Automations are created in an unsuitable way, that could very well happen.

I wasn’t aware of this issue with the Aqara Home app before, but perhaps you should check your automations again. May be, hub reboots or server outages could possibly be causing this. However, that’s just a guess, and I can see that your automations are running locally. In any case, I noticed some brief outages on the Aqara server last night.

No, i’m not using HA, or other systems, and my automations are made in Aqara app. I hope you are right and it’s just an isolated case, otherwise it will be a serious issue, at least for me.
